Matt founded MAT Assigning while attending St. Olaf College, which was only a short commute from Shattuck-St. Mary’s in Faribault, Minn. Shattuck was the company’s first customer. From there, youth soccer clubs became interested in a more professional, organized approach to referee management and over the span of the last 15 years, has grown to be the largest and most reliable referee management organization in the Upper Midwest.
Tyler first joined MAT Assigning in 2015 on a seasonal basis in the summer of 2015. As the MAT Assigning base of customers grew, Tyler devoted his entire professional energy to leading MAT Assigning’s day-to-day assigning responsibilities.
Tyler is an accomplished referee himself, having refereed semi-professional matches, collegiate matches been selected to attend several national tournaments and NCAA Tournaments.
Jorge joined MAT Assigning in 2023 in a capacity to oversea the Tonka United Referee Program.
Jorge is a former National Referee, which included the appointments to international matches, and many professional matches throughout the United States. Today, he remains an active collegiate referee and has refereed several conference championship matches and NCAA Tournaments.
Bill joined MAT Assigning in 2021 to oversea the Edina Soccer Club Referee Program.
Bill is a retired State Referee, current Edina High School Coach and an accomplished mentor of officials.
